'Lopez Tonight': Selena Gomez Loses Voice, Does Interview with DynaVox (VIDEO)

Selena Gomez couldn't utter a single word yesterday. But that didn't keep the actress/singer/Disney phenom from appearing on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS). A DynaVox spoke for her, and the slow, automated speech machine created an odd interview.

"I'm sorry. I'm so upset," it said in monotone, "But at least it's funny. Right?" When she recently turned 18 years old, "my band sang Back / street Boys to me / it-was-so funny," explained the machine in its peculiar automated cadence.

George Lopez then helped the actress tell a story about performing with her "very close" friend Justin Bieber. But before revealing the punchline, the DynaVox said, "I love him." Let's assume (for now) that Gomez isn't in love with Bieber. Or did she really choose to make that announcement via DynaVox?
