If there's one thing the movies teach us it's don't live in the Midwest. Under any circumstances. If you're not being swept away by a rogue twister, chased through cornfields by pyscho tweens or being sold a turkey by Jerry Lundegaard, all kinds of other hideousness can befall you, as this featurette for The Crazies makes abundantly clear.
Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell are the unlucky Iowan couple left to face a slack-jawed apocalypse when something toxic in the water supply turns their local community into mouth-foaming tide of blood-slavering lunacy.
Directed by Breck 'Sahara' Eisner, The Crazies is a remake of George A. Romero's 1973 chiller. It may not have its predecessor's political subtext or subversive edge but what it does have, as this behind-the-scenes clip shows, is lots of people with their intestines hanging out and plenty of Midwestern mayhem.
