After the very successful Baby Halpert episode and the subsequent early season 7 pickup, The Office seems to be awash with one good news after another. But just like the Niagara wedding episode, things kind of have a tendency to go downhill after a big episode on this show lately, so let's see if they can sustain the good vibes and the momentum built on "The Delivery" until the remaining episodes of the season.
On "St. Patrick's Day" Jim (John Krasinski) is back from his paternity leave, and Dwight (Rainn Wilson) tries to make his return an unpleasant one. Which is weird, because didn't he just proclaim success on his blog? ("My plan was so intricately diabolical it would've given Machiavelli an erection.")
Elsewhere on the Office episode, Michael (Steve Carell) thinks he impressed Jo (Kathy Bates) of Sabre only to discover someone else in the office caught her eye. Is this the mentioned love interest for Kevin (Brian Baumgartner)?
Finally, after the matter of the asking her out is over, Andy (Ed Helms) finally goes out with Erin (Ellie Kemper), and two have an "interesting" first date.
On the last episode of The Office, the Dunder Mifflin people helped Pam delay her labor by trying to distract her, to little avail. The several seasons of flirting and dating finally came to a climax on the last episode, when Jim and Pam welcomed Cecelia Marie Halpert to the world.
Catch The Office tonight on NBC.
