Sounds like 'American Idol' fans aren't the only ones who would welcome Jennifer Lopez to the judges' table next season.
E! News caught up with Randy Jackson last night, and while he's toeing the FOX party line of ignorance when it comes to possible judge casting, he did admit that he would happily sit next to J. Lo come January. "If Jennifer Lopez is a judge I would be very happy," he said. "I love her."
However, the Dawg wouldn't comment any further, saying, "The only thing that's for sure is Ryan [Seacrest]. Nothing has been decided."
Jackson's comment essentially echoes the official stance FOX took at its TCA executive panel yesterday, when entertainment chairman Peter Rice said, "No one has signed a deal yet on either side of the camera to join 'American Idol' that wasn't there last year."
Ideally, he admitted, the network would like to announce all the changes at once, so it's likely that they'll wait for the ink to dry on every contract before making any official statements.
