With only a few days until the premiere of Project Runway's seventh season, we're trying to scout for all the teasers we can find. You've managed to see trailers of the upcoming premiere, but that barely touches on what this new installment has to offer.
According to Project Runway judge Nina Garcia, this season is brimming with talent due to the crew's far-reaching search for the next winning designer. Her interview with Movieline indicates just how proud she is for this year's batch, along with giving out hints on what to expect on Thursday.
First of all, the 44-year-old Nina Garcia has confirmed that she'll be in all of the episodes this season, which will certainly improve the show since season 6. Joining her in the panel will be, as usual, Michael Kors and Heidi Klum. But there will definitely be some notable guest judges as well.
"I think some of the judges that have come to be on the show this season are maybe not as well-known to everyone, but are very important and successful designers in themselves," the Marie Claire fashion director explained.
"[A] lot of them are international designers. They're not names not known to everyone, but they're very influential at the moment."
While the judges are interesting in themselves, there's no doubt we'd all like to hear about the contestants. We've seen them, got to know them a bit, but there's nothing like hearing from someone who's seen their work on the runway.
"The group is really strong, and there's a lot of them," Nina Garcia declared. "There are some really colorful personalities that you're going to want to root for, really endearing personalities. One in particular -- is very endearing. There's also talent, and you'll notice there's really talent here. A lot of it."
That thumbs-up from Nina Garcia really counts, which means we really should give season 7 a shot. Don't miss the premiere on Thursday, January 14 at 10pm on Lifetime.
