South Park: "Crippled Summer" Review Season 14, Episode 7

Towelie! Like many of you, I was disappointed that we didn't see Towelie in the two-part 200-episode extravaganza. But it's all made up for in this episode, with Towelie getting more screen time than he has in years. It's a lighthearted episode with none of the kind of controversy that marked the last two stories, and after all the anger and disappointment, we kind of needed a little comedy relief to lead us into the mid-season break.

The episode parodies the style of A&E's Intervention series to great effect, but it doesn't stop at chronicling Towelie's addiction. The Intervention-style black and white screens run through the episode, providing hilarious context to pretty much every aspect of the story. It's a really nice touch, and I found myself laughing at nearly every one of these little fake factoids, but near the tail end of the story I did get a little tired of seeing these things every 20 seconds.
