Stardust was out of this world

I remember seeing the previews for this movie on one of those rare occasions that I actually went out to a film rather than watching at home on DVD. I was less than impressed from the trailer, rolling my eyes thinking it would be a lame ripoff riding on the coattails of Pirates of the Caribbean with a weak dash of Harry Potter.

Just before the movie was released on DVD, I happened to catch another trailer of it online, and for some reason this time it managed to spark my interest slightly more, albeit still with some skepticism on my part.

I broke down and bought the dvd when it came out, and frankly it was one of the smartest purchases I've made. From the moment I began watching, I was captivated. The cast was nothing short of outstanding. I don't recall seeing Charlie Cox in any films prior to this, and he won me over immediately with his natural, boy next door style. The storyline itself was interesting and engaging, the movie had a dash of everything - action, romance, adventure and a really well threaded bit of tongue-in-cheek humor. This is one of those rare movies where as soon as it was over, I knew I would be putting it in again very soon to enjoy it all over again.

I definitely give this movie an A+
