Supernatural is this the last season?

I know this has been a topic of discussion lately and there have been rumors flying about a sixth season. I have to say from a writer's point of view if season 5 were the last I would be a bit pissed off. Number one we've met the devil, but haven't met God. I'm not buying the whole god is dead bet. Number two sam and dean are bound to give in eventually. Even if dean doesn't what's to stop micheal from talking some other shcumch into saying yes so he can smack some sense into dean. There are just to many plotline that need solving plus the whole apcloapsye thing hasn't been played to it's full potential yet. So it would be way to easy to drag this on for another season even two. Just saying if I were working with those guys there's no way I'd let this be the last season and as for season six. That would be a question mark. Would the plot lines finally solve themsleves or lead into another season? Think of these things when asking are they going to do another season.

No way end the series. Go out on top! other than the end of the world which is happening right now what can they do? Another end of the world? Stretch out the Apocalypse for other season or two and fill the season up with stupid pointless episodes to fill out a season? As a writer myself I think it is cheesy to put God in a series; have his presence shown, dont have him in the series. Lame! That way it is more like real life his influence felt and seen without actually seeing him. As even the angels say God is supposed to be exist through FAITH not because youve seen him.

"Another end of the world?"
Hey, Buffy did, like, twelve.
If the show sticks with the same writers that gave us seasons three, four and five, I'm not worried. There are still new and awesome directions to take this show. To believe otherwise is to have a crappy imagination.
That said, I *am* worried the creators of SPN will run out of drive and start resting on their laurels, or that too many of the writers will be replaced.

I think that yeah some of the plot points could be developed into maybe one other series. With Supernatural they do enjoy their 'Freak of the Week' episodes as my boyfriend and I call them so to pad out another series with a handful of these episodes would be fine, I mean there are a number of creatures and demons they could look at I mean, come on we get regular demons so I think that a Succubus would be a cool addition. But yeah I still think that after this story line it should end, as much as I love Supernatural, I would hate to watch it die a horrible and embarrassing death because it just got boring and/or stupid, because in all honesty once you deal with the devil there aren't really any other beings that can really top that you know. I mean yes there is God but I do agree that they shouldn't go there, that would just ruin it. The only way they could do it is if they go down the line I hope it's going, that God's vessel is John. It fits I mean Sam and Dean are the vessels for Lucifer and Michael, God's favourite angels. And hey Sam and Dean are John's favourite son's right? But then I'm not daft as good as it would be for John to be God it just wouldn't work, not really. So yeah basically one more season is possible but I don't want them to ruin it by dragging it out.

I can see why many people wouldn't want god in this series, but this series constantly references the bible and revlations. Revlations itself states that Jesus god's son will come like a thief in the night. So if they truly want to stick to the bible in a very general way then god has to enter the picture.

I know they're gonna go there and show God I mean yeah he's already made his presence clear, but yeah I just hope that they do it in a tasteful way.
