Chipotle - Take it or Leave it?

My boyfriend and I ate at Chipotle for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was okay, nothing special, and we decided we wouldn't be rushing back anytime soon.

Although I've scoured the internet I've yet to find an actual connection between the fast-food chain and digestive problems. I had originally assumed there was some news story in the States that was being mocked that I was unaware of (being Canadian).

Has anyone heard of any actual connection between Chipotle and health issues, or was South Park just mocking the pretentious fast-food chain?

I was even further discouraged from returning to Chipotle after watching "Dead Celebrities". Is this episode going to discourage you from going back to Chipotle?

I think they were just mocking America's general obsession with fast food, and that even though people are generally very much aware of its negative health impact at this point that we still eat a ton of it.I too though wondered if there was something specific that had happened with Chipotle, but not to my knowledge...

That's a good point, however, Chipotle seemed like an odd target for a general jab at fast food. Particularly because they (Chipotle) seem to pride themselves on their organic and healthy ingredients. Also, usually South Park chooses it's targets carefully so the humour is particularly loaded. I hope someone here knows! I'll keep looking.

i just assumed it was an 'excessive diarrhea leads to anal bleeding' exaggeration that hinged on burritos, which was the only reason chipotle was picked. personally i like the classic joke send off. my roommates didn't get it, so i had to tell him the original. (two guys are waiting in the line in front of the gate of hell, one sez' to the other 'man, i cant believe we're going to hell', and the other guy sez' 'yea, and the wait is to damn long')

there were just mocking that even though they know how bad fast food is for them they ignore it and contiue to eat it no matter what "why would you eat something that makes you bleed out your ass" "have you had chipotle b4 kyle its really good"

Chipotle does make you have to go to the bathroom, but not in a bad way. Just gotta make space for all that burrito. I think they chose chipotle because of its popularity and almost cult like following. No one is that crazy for baja fresh or taco bell, but people who love chipotle, really love it (me included), and probably would still eat it if it made them crap blood.

when i eat chipotle and go to the bathroom, it burns like crazy, i thought that the reason why they were making fun of it. Now i read all this other comments and it makes me feel a little simple minded.
