i have some explanations about Scofield's cause of his nosebleed (epistaxis)

Epistaxis (or a nosebleed in plain English) is the relatively common occurrence of hemorrhage from the nose, usually noticed when the blood drains out through the nostrils. There are two types: anterior (the most common), and posterior (less common, more likely to require medical attention). Sometimes in more severe cases, the blood can come up the nasolacrimal duct and out from the eye. Fresh blood and clotted blood can also flow down into the stomach and cause nausea and vomiting. It accounts for only 0.001% of all deaths in the U.S.

Systemic factors

* Drugs - Aspirin, Fexofenadine/Allegra/Telfast, warfarin, ibuprofen, clopidogrel, isotretinoin, desmopressin and others

* Alcohol (due to vasodilation)

* Allergies

* Blood dyscrasias

* Envenomation by mambas, taipans, kraits, and death adders

* Heart failure (due to an increase in venous pressure)

* Hypertension

* Infectious diseases

* Pregnancy

* Vascular disorders

* von Willebrand's disease

could be that michael has hematological malignancies such as:

* Leukemia:

o Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)

o Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML)

o Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML)

o Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)

o Hairy cell leukemia

* Lymphoma:

o Hodgkin's disease (four subtypes)

o Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (many subtypes)

* Multiple myeloma

Related disorders, which are generally not called "cancer":

* Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) - can culminate in AML

* Myeloproliferative disease:

o Polycythemia vera (PV, PCV or occasionally polycythemia rubra vera - PRV)

o Essential thrombocytosis (ET)

o Myelofibrosis

* Amyloid due to light-chain disease

IF MICHAEL has one of this life threatening illness such as LEUKEMIA etc... then he might die on episode 17 of season 4 of which the title is "R.I.P"......

Somehow I doubt they'll kill him off, not mid-way through the season anyway, he's the main character, without him the show would probably (definately) struggle.
