Come Back Booth!

I don't know about anyone else, but I am very done with Agent Perotta coming in, in place of Booth. Her character is very bland and does not add a positive conflict to the show the way that Booth did. I have been trying to accept her character and get used to her, but she just annoys me. Granted there is an absence of the sexual tension between Booth and Bones, but that is not the main reason that I am annoyed. She adds an awkward and uncomfortable feeling to the relationships of all the characters and frankly is often just in the way. They are trying to make her out to be a possible addition to the team which really disappoints me. I suppose we shall see where it leads in the next few episodes. As long as they don't permanently fade out Booth, I think I will cope. If they do fade him out, they are doomed for a loss of ratings and a possible end of the show, so let's just hope it doesn't come to that.

@ nrdcoyne I know right!!!!!!!!!!!! That was awesome, I even repeated it later on..... I caught myself laughing later on thinking about the scene when they said they were Booth's people. And that is soooo true even in reality if we think about it.... so many times we try to mingle as the newbie at work, but people don't give much credit..... hehe Fun if u r the one not caring, however, not soo fun if u r the one trying to mingle... lol

Ugh don't get me started on Perotta, shes just so . .so . . .I don't even have a word for it (and I'm a writer!). She doesn't bring anything to the show. Admitedly we got a few laughs out of her. Her interaction with Sweets is quite funny, but honestly the only good scene we got out of her was in The Fire In The Ice when she is talking to Ms Julian, Cam, Hodgins and Wendle! Perotta: It seems my people were correct.Cam & Ms Julian: Your people??Hodgins & Wendle: We're Booth's people! One of the best lines this season if you ask me. Sorry I got side-tracked (I love that line) Perotta is an interesting addition when you see her around Booth and Brennan, the ending of The Princess and the Pear was undeniably hysterical! But what bugs me most is, she's still flirting with Booth even though she knows FULL WELL (just like everyone else) that he and Brennan are into each other! Its SO annoying! Back off already woman! Deviating away from that (I seem to that a lot . . ) I can't wait for the season finale. Excited is an understatement. But like TheErn3 I am slightly worried that after they actually (finally) have sex, the tension between them will deflate . .although I suppose looking at it from the other end of the spectrum it could increase the tension. I don't know but I can't wait! I also can't wait for Hodgins and Angela to get back together, they are the most adorable couple! (Side note: Sweets and Perotta anyone?) Plus - the computer never lies:P Anyway: Perotta = annoying, unnecessary, intrusive and over-confident!B&B = Love them . . always will.H&A = please please "get back together, already!" Hodgins and Angela will definitely get back together, but I think you're right... they're milking the sexual tension there, too. Everyone loves that they make such a cute "odd couple", and I am sure they will eventually get back together...but in the mean time, we see all of these little cute moments where they drop their guard and seem back to their old pre-relationship ways, that we are all screaming "get back together, already!" at our screens (I am, anyway), and that makes for great tv.

I do see that there is more character development between B&B and their relationship, but that also kind of scares me. There has been that sexual tension since the pilot episode and I am afraid that once they do get together that the show will be at a dead end because that tension will be resolved. I watched the pilot episode in a film class that I took last fall and we discussed this issue of tensions being resolved and how that deflates the character drama in the show. I mean that doesn't mean that the show will end, but the main character conflict will be resolved and there will be less drama. You guys made some great points. Here's another thing that I've wondered/hoped for:I loved the relationship between Hodgins (sp?) and Angela. I have to say nearing they're break up it got a little annoying because all of a sudden they were getting married and then they weren't and it was all a little fast, but the beginning flirtation stages were so minor but so contagious. I love that couple because she is so hot and he is such a lab nerd, or should I say squint, that it was just a comical but endearing relationship. What do you think? Do you think that they will ever get back together? There is still a hint of the relationship, even in these episodes, I feel, but Angela is supposedly living with her girlfriend. Thanks for commenting! I love discussion!

Slow down, I think you're looking at this the wrong way.The way I see it, Perotta's only reason for being in the show is to accelerate the B&B relationship. Her obvious attraction to Booth has seemed to only strengthen Booth's feelings for Bones, and maybe in time it will cause Bones to realise how she feels about Booth. I liked this episode. There was some adorable B&B moments, a few funny lines, and when the car hit Bones and Sweets' car, I actually gasped! It was definately an improvement on ep. 14. The only bit I found a little irritating was the way they put the multiple screens on during the phonecalls. It looked weird. But overall, a really enjoyable episode!!!

They can't fade out Booth completely, because in the spoilers for the send of this season/beginning of next season, the writers say that Bones and Booth will end up in bed together. This proves that Booth won't be leaving for good. I have to agree, though. I don't like Perotta, either. She's really annoying, and she gets in the way. I like Booth better. Perotta doesn't have a sense of humor, and doesn't have any cool catch phrases, either. She isn't cool like Booth, either. I have to admit, though, I do enjoy the Bones/Booth relationship. The tension just isn't happening with her hanging around. I can't wait for her to just go away. I really hope that they don't put her on the team.
