This week on THE OFFICE, we never actually SAW the office of Dunder Mifflin. Instead "Christening" took place at CeCe’s, well… christening. While there were funny highlight (which I’ll get to in a second), the episode as a whole didn’t do it for me. Again.
"Christening" felt TOO comfortable for me. And maybe I’m just REALLY hard to please, but I feel that The Office was SO great for so long that it blows my mind that it’s gotten as bad as it has in the past episodes.
Let me say this – they need to move the show BACK to the office. The Office was great because, if you worked in an office, you could completely relate to the shenanigans that went on at Dunder Mifflin. The office politics, the different personalities, even Michael Scott were all things that office workers could laugh about… and that feeling isn’t there anymore.
Now the entire crew is being moved to outside places, and while it was nice to see the characters occasionally off of the clock in earlier seasons, it’s becoming far too frequent and far too unrealistic.
No way everyone in the office, weather Michael invited them or not, would show up for CeCe’s christening. I miss the "believable" (and I use that term loosely because not EVERYTHING was believable, and even the believable antics were over the top) situations that the earlier episodes brought us.
