After a rocky start, these past two episodes of No Ordinary Family have done an excellent job of building the foundation for an interesting mythology and have also done a great job of establishing the Powells as a family/super hero unit. Well, Jim's the only real superhero of the bunch for now, but as the others learn more about their powers it's clear that they are becoming a formidable team. Maybe not quite the Fantastic Four but they do have their moments.
The Daphne and J.J. storyline was a lot of fun. The inventive use of both of their powers to woo Daphne's high school crush is a good way to keep things fresh. It's not exactly the honest way of getting a date or trying to impress a love interest but they're kids, so who can blame them? With great power may come great responsibility, but who says you can't have a little fun on the side?
