So You Think You Can Dance Season 7 Episode 19 "2 Sent Home" Review

Well it wasn't a surprise tonight to see just who the judges were going to send home especially after telling everyone last night that they forsee Lauren and Kent in the finale. So of course when Lauren ends up in the bottom three, they are obviously going to keep her.

And that is just what they did. The other two didn't have a chance. Since no one was sent home last week because of Billy's injury, it was double elimination round tonight. Does this season feel like the least suspensful season in the history of So You Think You Can Dance? But I guess we as viewers are watching the performances first.

The two that were sent home tonight were Billy and Jose Ruiz. I could understand Jose somewhat but Billy felt like he was decided to be sent home regardless of his performance last night. I am desperately waiting for next week and hope that this season doesn't bring any more injuries!

I am so upset Billy is out.
Now my journey with sytycd has officially ended. Will just follow the News. All my Fav are out.
Now I hope Lauren wins. I adore Kent but Lauren is way better as a dancer.

I have to keep in mind that this is a contest for America's "Favourite" Dancer and not their best.
Billy dances circles around Lauren. Circles, and spirals, and queerly contorted arabesques. He moves in ways that inspire choreographers to create a new lexicon, new words, new meanings, new interpretations. In short, the boy is unreal.
He is a fabulous freak, the franken-formed genetic offspring of Twyla Thorpe and Klaus Nomi, with a Trickster's grin thrown in for good measure. My jaw drops, my mind boggles, and one of the smiles of amazement, like when you see the potential for real greatness displayed in your child, envelopes me when he dances.
The judges today disappointed me. They took the easy. They pandered to the masses; they affirmed that SYTYCD is merely about entertainment. It's too bad really because Billy had so much more to teach us about movement, about freedom, about self-expression; in short, about Dance.
