BFFs fighting. Dealing with co-workers. Young love. Powers on the fritz. Just another normal day on NO ORDINARY FAMILY. In "No Ordinary Sidekick", George takes credit when Jim thwarts a robbery; the attention goes to his head. Daphne brings her suspicions about Will to Stephanie, who talks to Katie about it. Both pairs of superhero and sidekick have brief spats. Daphne loses her memory, courtesy of Will. JJ loses his powers around the girl he likes.
Now we are getting somewhere! I appreciate the ease with which No Ordinary Family kills off its characters. It’s hard to say whether writers just decide to change the direction of the show; don’t like the feel of the characters/actors; or know all along what they want to happen. Whatever the case, murders keep things exciting and new characters keep the plot moving. By killing Francis, Dr. King can direct Stephanie’s attention to where he wants it, and the Powells remain in the dark about Dr. King and Joshua, formerly The Watcher/Will. (What name do I use now?) Joshua is another major factor that moves the show forward. What did he do to poor Daphne? If it hurt, at least she can’t remember it. Her amnesia brings a wonderfully different element to the show, because you can only go so far with Daphne not being able to read Joshua’s mind. It will be interesting to see where the story goes with this. Now Daphne really doesn’t have the ability to read minds. Or does she? But shouldn’t Joshua be getting weaker, or losing the ability to use his powers, after being denied the shot of goo last week?
