Making good TV is undeniably tough — but creating good TV drama is even harder. With reality shows permeating our silver screens, it’s a rare occasion when we see a good scripted TV drama. Andrew W. Marlowe, Castle creator, recently talked about what it takes to make a TV drama work, from the characters to the plot, and keeping things light when need be.
Marlowe credits the sexual chemistry between Castle and Beckett for a lot of Castle’s intrigue. And as for Stana Katic? "....You get a sense that there's a lot of depth there that she's not showing," he says. "So... for Castle, [it] is really a process of discovering who this person is." And boy, do we love watching him try to understand her week after week!
