No Ordinary Family: "No Ordinary Friends" Review

Coming back from the holidays, I was surprised at how excited I was to see more No Ordinary Family after the show's cliffhanger ending a few weeks ago. Daphne's memories were stolen from her by a man with no name of his own which setup a lot of promise for the second half of the season. Well, sadly, Daphne's memory loss lasted all of five minutes into "No Ordinary Friends" as the rest of the Powell family use her powers to kick start her memories again. It's dismissed and never brought up again in the episode. Huh. The opportunities presented by an exciting cliffhanger squandered in the first five minutes. This should be good.

Being a fan of popular science fiction, I suspend my disbelief when it comes to a lot of subjects. I allow myself to believe that a man can fly, or that a police box can travel in time, yet I have a hard time wrapping my brain around Katie being a virgin. I probably shouldn't. I mean, it's a life decision that people make and I respect them for that, but besides Katie being a geek, she's smoking hot. Even if she was saving herself, I find it hard to believe that "the right man to finally come along" is Joshua or whatever his name is. He lied to her about his name! That's a red flag! Is this the person you want to give up your virginity too? I love Katie as a character, but she's not too bright.
