STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS “Witches of the Mist” Review

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS "Witches of the Mist" Season 3 Episode 14 – STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, "Witches of the Mist" was the final piece in a three episode arc that follows Anakin and Obi-Wan as they track down the latest threat to the universe, Savage Opress.

There was so much going on in this episode that this arc might have benefitted from an additional episode. It seemed a bit rushed and all sorts of relevant information and character developing dialogue seemed squeezed into unusually short scenes. Nevertheless, this was only an issue because "Witches of the Mist" actually had quite a lot of awesome to deliver and not enough time to do it all perfectly.

Action scenes were used well in this episode not only to deliver visual excitement, but to develop character and plot. Watching Opress mercilessly plow through the Toydarians and thoughtlessly crush the throat of their king really emphasized his ruthless and still very uncontrolled nature in a way that dialogue couldn’t. Obi Wan and Anakin on the other hand, come out of the same scene looking a bit dim. Seriously guys! Two Jedi against one assassin and not only did you fail at stopping him, but you gave him enough time to knock your ship off the platform! It was tough to have faith in the good guys. Read More...
