THE SIMPSONS “Homer The Father” Review

THE SIMPSONS "Homer The Father" Season 22 Episode 12 – When Homer becomes obsessed with the 1980s television sitcom "Thicker Than Waters" he lets the relaxed and cheesy teachings of the father instruct his own parenting. Bart, it so happens, has finally met the thing on which he’ll meet his death: a brand new dirt bike. Homer tells Bart that he will get a reward if he gets an A in math. Bart does not realize that this reward will be the satisfaction of doing well in school, and in retaliation he befriends Homer in order to steal secrets from the nuclear power plant and sell it to terrorists.

This episode did not contain any quotable one-liners or the comic scenes you would get from The Simpsons in its heyday, but overall it was a solid episode thanks to strong storytelling and the relatable relationship between Homer and Bart. Read More...
