'American Idol' Auditions: Nashville Recap

Yes, Nashville is "Music City," but no one said the sounds coming out of 'American Idol's' stop in the Tennessee capital would be worth listening to. Aside from a few stand-outs, the Nashville leg of 'Idol's' audition tour was lacking in the kind of talent the city is known for.

The night kicked off with twenty seven year-old dental assistant, Christine McCaffrey whose rendition of Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance," made the judges hope she would stop...singing.

Thankfully, the next audition made up for McCaffrey's squeeky wheel vocals, two fold. Estranged former couple Rob Bolin and Chelsee Oaks impressed the judges individally, but it was their soulful duet of the Bee Gee's "To Love Somebody" that pushed the pair through to Hollywood.
