TV ratings: 'Idol,' NBC comedies hold the line Thursday; 'Bones' gets a boost


Fast National ratings for Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011Thursday's "American Idol" held pretty steady with its performance last week, losing only a handful of viewers and a tenth of a point in the 18-49 demographic. "Bones" scored its best numbers of the season, while NBC's comedy lineup dipped slightly but basically held onto the audience it drew last week.FOX averaged 17.2 million viewers and a 9.9 rating/15 share in households, a slight improvement on last week's numbers thanks to the "Bones" bump. CBS (9.6 million, 6.0/10) was a distant second. ABC and NBC finished in a dead heat for third with 5.2 million viewers each (ABC scored a 3.2/5 in households to NBC's 3.0/5).
