Justified: "The Moonshine War" Review

We last left Raylan and company in a bad spot: after a tumultuous shootout, he was surrounded by lots of dead bodies and only one partial witness (Ava Crowder, his former lover) who could corroborate his story. Season 1 got lost in itself, but it had moments of spectacular brilliance and Raylan was brought to life by Timothy Olyphant's ability to turn from angry Wild West shoot-from-the-hip sheriff to a sarcastic good ol' boy. Watching him play those two sides of anger was one of the most fun parts of the first season. Walton Goggins did his part of turning what was supposed to be a brief turn as Boyd into a rich character and other actors expertly filled roles, turning Justified's version of Harlan County into a brilliant piece of art imitating life.  Read More...
