'Top Gear' 16.04 'Middle East Road Trip' Review

Now that we've met Boris Becker and been introduced to some sheep besides, it's time for the second of tonight's Top Gear episodes: another road trip, this time to follow the path of the three wise men to Bethlehem. I'm pretty sure someone will find something to be offended about here, and that doesn't bother me one bit.

For this Nativity-themed journey, Richard chooses a Fiat, Jeremy gets a Mazda MX-5, and James arrives in a BMW Z3 (but over his budget, so he's cheating from moment one). Their bickering is short-lived, because they're too busy screaming when they believe that their cars will be dropped from the back of their plane in mid-air. As much fun as that would be to watch, that is not the case. They land safely in Iraq (yay?) where they're presented with flak jackets and helmets. No one is particularly thrilled to disembark, but they eventually do, plotting a course that will take them through Iran and Turkey just to avoid as much of Iraq as they possibly can.
