'Modern Family' Season 2, Episode 14 Recap

It's pretty difficult to come up with more than a handful of reasons for all three of the 'Modern Family' families to get together: birthday parties, family dinners and playdates, maybe graduations. That's about it until the weddings start.

And as much as you don't want the excuses to get overused -- this isn't 'Parenthood' -- as a fan of 'Modern Family,' you kind of wish that the writers would find at least a couple more reasons to get the Pritchetts, the Dunphys and the Pritchett-Tuckers in the same general area, because the show is so much funnier when everyone's together.

Lily's birthday party and its corresponding family drama isn't the only reason why 'Princess Party' was one of the funniest episodes of the season. It was Fizbo and Shelley Long and Matt Dillon and Gloria on Xanax and Manny's love of cashmere. But most of all, it brought back all of the things about Claire that made her so funny in the show's first season. Read More...
