'Desperate Housewives': Contract negotiations are 'tenuous,' says cast member


It would seem that signing on for another couple seasons of "Desperate Housewives" would be a no-brainer for the lead women, but according to one cast member that isn't so."It's very tenuous, it's not as automatic as it seemed a few months ago," James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino, tells Access Hollywood Live.Even as he uses a loaded word like "tenuous," Denton says, "I think it's going to work out. The network really wants us. We all want to be there."Denton says that they would have "to drag me out of there feet first" before he'd leave his job on the show, but admits that the men haven't even been approached about their contracts. All seems to depend on whether the women can get their contracts squared away first.According to Denton, Teri Hatcher is content with her contract.
