Bleach Episode #309 - Review

With Ichigo now able to stand toe to toe with Aizen, if not higher than him with the way he's handling himself, the battle between the two goes in a way that we haven't seen in some time. It's a very different feeling for Ichigo at this point where the character isn't who we've really seen for so long. While we've seen him gain strength and power over the course of the series and it generally turns him serious, there's something different about it this time as it's almost free of emotion. That colder and calmer approach on his part doesn't exactly turn him villainous with how he's portrayed, but it strips him of some of his humanity, which may well be needed for dealing with Aizen as he reveals new layers of his powers and abilities as well.
