CSI “Turn On, Tune In, Drop Dead” Review

CSI "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Dead" Season 11 Episode 16 – I like to think that there’s a guy on the CSI writing staff whose sole job is to come up with those little one-liners that send us to the commercial break. If so, he really outdid himself this week with "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Dead". "Dead man walking", you guys! You get it?! Oh CSI, you crack me up!

I appreciate that CSI at least acknowledges what happened last episode with Haskell’s escape. Usually with procedurals like this, we’ll hear about a big villain escaping and then not hear about him for a few weeks. We do get to hear about the escape at the beginning of the episode, but then we get straight to the awesome zombieness!

The creepy kid from Pretty Little Liars gets type cast to play the creepy zombie kid who freaks out David in the coroner’s office. I guess CSI already did a vampire episode earlier in the season, now we need to get to zombies. I can’t wait for the werewolf episode! I found this to be a pretty fun twist for the episode. To be fair, I’m a huge fan of zombie movies, games, The Walking Dead, you name it. While these weren’t real zombies, I still enjoyed watching the team coming to grips with the ridiculous prospect of the dead coming back to life. I especially liked the visual of the police officers doing a zombie-walk past Jim’s office. Read More...
