American Idol Episode Recap: The Top 11 Revealed

As the graphics of American Idol's Thursday night intro package read: America has spoken. But which singer did the voters choose to send home?Keeping with the week's theme of celebrating the contestants' years of birth, the results show was filled with baby pictures and childhood aspirations. James Durbin wanted to be a professional wrestler and Scotty McCreery wanted to be an astronaut but didn't have astronaut brains. Neither of those confessions surprises me much. All of the birth talk leads directly into this week's group number.Top 12, "Born to Be Wild-Born This Way" Mash-upAs a longtime hater of these group numbers, I have to admit I kind of enjoyed this one. The mash-up actually worked and made sense, and the singing sounded mostly live (especially during Jacob Lusk's pretty terrible 15 seconds of solo time).
