Is 'All My Children' really on it's way out?


Pine Valley has been a daytime destination 41-years, but in the increasingly uncertain world of the American soap opera, it could soon be wiped off of the fictional map. Deadline joins Daytime Confidential as the latest outlet to report that ABC is considering reducing its afternoon drama lineup from three to two hours to make room for a new talk show. And "All My Children" is most eligible for the chopping block.Citing low ratings (recent record lows in daytime's pivotal women 18-49 demographic), Deadline says "AMC" is the likely candidate for cancellation if the network opts to add a new talk show for fall 2011.
