'Grey's Anatomy' déjà vu: Creator clears up recycled footage controversy

Nothing gets by the eagle eyes and deep memories of "Grey's Anatomy" fans, so when the ABC show apparently used "love scene" footage from a previous season in the March 24 episode, hardcore fans cried foul and demanded answers."It was not a love scene, it was a shot," creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes explains to TVLine.com of the reused footage.Rhimes says that the episode needed another beat with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey), but the two were unavailable to shoot it at the time.
