Arthur Review

In this updated remake of the 1981 classic, incorrigible man-child and billionaire heir Arthur Bach (Russell Brand) lives in a constant state of inebriation and debauchery, indulging himself in every sexual whim and fanboy fantasy (such as racing through the streets of Manhattan in his Batmobile and batsuit from Batman Forever). He's 30-years-old boy still cared for by his lifelong nanny, the devoted but exasperated Hobson (Helen Mirren). She is more of a mother to him than his cold, imperious mum Vivienne (Geraldine James), who has run the Bach business empire ever since Arthur's dad died when he was a boy. But who will one day take over the family business since Arthur seems incapable of maturity let alone responsibility? Top Bach executive Susan Johnson (Jennifer Garner), who once had a fling with Arthur, has her sights set on the post, but on order to run the family empire she must first become a Bach.
