‘The Killing,’ Season 1, Episode 3, ‘El Diablo’: TV Recap

As Detectives Linden and Holder continue to investigate Rosie Larson’s murder, her parents struggle to adjust, and Richmond’s campaign hits two more snags, on last night’s episode of "The Killing," "El Diablo."

The police are still processing just what happened to Rosie inside the "Cage." For Linden, it means that she’ll be on the case longer than she thought (her boss coerced her once again), a development that doesn’t sit well with her fiancé Rick. Investigating the scene, Linden notices a peephole in the wall, on the other side is the janitor’s room; the janitor is named Rosales. She and Holder go to where Rosales lives, and thinking that the cops are after him for outstanding warrants, Rosales tangles with Linden, then jumps from the fire escape, injuring himself seriously.
