GAME OF THRONES (HBO) Advance Review

GAME OF THRONES is HBO’s new original series based on A Song of Ice Fire series of books by George R. R. Martin. I have never read the series, but am very aware of it, not only because of Ciara‘s great review of the first book, but mostly because of Axe‘s obsession for the show, which he tends not to hide (you might have read his 5 Reasons Why You Bloody Well Better Not Miss GAME OF THRONES article).

And so, it is with that state of mind that I sat down to watch Game of Thrones.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but within a few minutes it felt like I was transported into another world that was absolutely fascinating. The series was created with such care, it has so many intricate elements that brings this world alive. It’s like peeking into a microcosm! This world has very specific rules. It has different Houses, with each their own political agendas.

Without even realizing it you suddenly start caring for all these characters you were just introduced to (if you’re curious, so far my favorite character is Daenyrs Targaryen, whom you can see in the photoabove). Which leads me to mention the brilliant cast. I dare you to find one actor that is not giving anything less than a great performance. It’s like being in this series elevated everybody’s acting.
