A big part of The Biggest Loser is the emotional story of the contestants. It's important to the show, after all. It's no secret that emotional issues or childhood incidents can shape how we feel about food, interact with food and use food to cover up emotional issues. It's no wonder, then, that a lot of the screen time on Biggest Loser features the contestants talking about their feelings. This is fine. This is necessary. Feelings are good! But why, for the love of Bob Harper's little hat, do we just hear the same hackneyed quips week after week?
