UNITED STATES OF TARA "Chicken ‘n’ Corn" Season 3 Episode 8 – The evolution of this show is pretty amazing, from season one when it leant more towards a serious comedy, to season two when things started to get darker as Tara and Max started searching for the source of Tara’s DID. Now in season three the show has turned into a dark drama with elements of black comedy. A new alter has emerged, one which I thought was the suicidal Tara from college. I was wrong.

It was a twist I did not see coming for a minute. Tara’s suicidal alter is Bryce Crane, the stepbrother who tormented her, who brought out Chicken, Tara’s alter of her childhood self. This episode saw the death of Chicken, the death of Tara’s childhood, at the hands of Bryce Crane. It was a moment as creepy as anything I’ve seen in a horror film because Tara’s alter Bryce Crane is out to destroy one thing: Tara.

Eddie Izzard’s Dr Hattaras is really coming into his own as a great character. He’s juggling the difficult role of disbeliever, facilitator, doctor and audience surrogate with aplomb. Read More...
