'American Idol's' Lauren Alaina: 'I knew God would get me through my vocal problems'

Hours before the "American Idol" finale on Tuesday, May 24, near panic ensued when news broke that Lauren Alaina might not be able to perform due to vocal problems during rehearsals.Luckily, Lauren was cleared to perform by her doctor (who obviously had to come on stage to explain the condition), despite the fact that she blew out a vocal chord. Ouch. At the top of the show, Lauren told host Ryan Seacrest, "I'm here. I'm ready to sing and I'm fine. Don't worry about it." And worry we did not.Speaking with reporters after the show, Lauren said (via a notepad), "I knew somehow God would get me through it." Steven Tyler was asked if he was concerned before the show about Lauren's vocal problems. "I knew that she was a little hoarse, but they have steroids for that," he said. "Tomorrow she'll nail it."And for fun, here's a picture we snapped at the press conference...
