'Doctor Who': John Barrowman on 'Torchwood's' Captain Jack staging a possible return


With "Doctor Who" officially renewed for a seventh season, and current companions Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill likely not around for the ride, the franchise may soon be placing personals ads for new supporting players.But why not cull a companion from the current "Who"-verse?Zap2it caught up with John Barrowman on the set of Starz upcoming "Torchwood: Miracle Day," and the actor told us that a return to the series that introduced his character, Captain Jack Harkness, is never out of the question."I've always said that if I'm asked to go back to 'Doctor Who,' I'll go at the drop of a hat," Barrowman tells us. "That's where Captain Jack got his beginnings. And it's already been discussed."Barrowman says that both "Torchwood" creator Russell T Davies and current "Doctor Who" showrunner Steven Moffat have talked about the possibility of a return for Jack, who's been absent from the series since the 2008 episode "Journey's End."...
