Should Tiny URLs be banned?

Recently When I visited Two and a half men page for the season 6 premiere, All I can see is that half of the links are for the same site and same link. They were posted with the help of different tiny URL sites. I think posting same link with the help of different tiny URLs is a way of spamming. It's very annoying to get the same link one after another. It's a waste of time. I think use of tiny URLs should be banned. What do you think? Give your opinion.

when you say tiny url's do you mean on the number of websites that will actually have an embedded video of another site that all point to one site?for example a website will have either an embedded video or link to say megavideo and then another link will be to the different site but embedding the exact same video?if this is true i say that these links should be allowed but in another catogory or even page, due to the fact that these links can actually lead to other good websites showing video's that people have not put up links to here.more as a list of different websites with links and video embeds in case lesser known tv shows can be found on other sites other than this site.latley i have been using subvisio because i know that most of the time they link directly to supernova tube (which is a preffered site to me due to speed and quality)but have also noticed a few other sites will link to the same place but i never really see a supernova tube link on here, even though they can be yes i agree it does feel like spamming but if taken away completely could make it harder for us to find genuinly good videos of certain showsso i agree with tidying up a little or maybe have the direct links up, also a rating system on links could be an idea and maybe the owners of the site or pages can lock individual links from being deleted

actually there is a site called tinyurl-something something.
what i really dislike is when i click on a site and i get 'complete this survey before watching, and if the video doesn't start, complete another one'

well, some of those actually work. unfortunately. you just start filling them out and it'll have a pop-up that says "requirements finished" or something. it doesn't even really require any more than filling in an email address sometimes. sure they'd like you to fill in the rest, but it's not required after you get the alert.
for this, you will probably want some email address devoted to getting spam from these types of things. after i used one of these "complete the survey" websites i noticed an influx of spam from target (the survey i started) but i didn't care because it was my spam-mail address.
i wish we could get rid of these links as well, but they do work. sorry bud.

Those links may work occasionally but I believe that they should be banned because all they are is spam feeders. I already get way too much spam and would support any measures that make it a little harder for them to collect addresses.

They really are spam feeders. I vote to ban them. Sometimes they work - other times you fill in and fill in and...nothing happens. Plus I don't really know anything about the site asking for my email. I guess you could choose to not fill in the info but... I say ban them! Often they link to sites where you can just add a direct link.

to anyone wanting to use those links protected by those fill out a survey with freepay and other stupid sites, i think i may have discovered a way round that.when you load up the page you can sometimes just see the video behind the blocker thing, well here comes the little trick:using firefox 3 (as far as i know) right click the page, click view page info > media tab and the tab shows you the exact address of all the backgrounds, images and greyed out is the video, right click > copy, paste into new tab or window and surf straight to the video.well hope thats helped alot of people, though i have only ever tested it using youku but im sure someone or me will end up testing it on other sites soon and maybe someone could put this info up somewhere where most people will see.well good luck people

The best thing here is to completely ignore these sites. Once you've visited them, you'll remember where not to go anymore next time. Meanwhile, mods are working hard to make sure these spam links get deleted. All help is welcome :)

These sites are definately a pain... everytime I come across one I now do my part and delete them so that someone else does not need to waste their time like i did!
