BREAKING BAD “Open House” Review

BREAKING BAD “Open House” Season 4 Episode 3 – Having been out of town last week, I unfortunately missed the airing of “The Thirty-Eight Snub”, but thankfully my fellow writer Ciara was able to fill in for me. Having viewed the episode right before watching tonight’s installment “Open House”, I feel like both of these episodes really work best when seen back-to-back. Last week’s episode was rather slow moving and got a few pieces into place, whereas this episode seemed to advance those pieces and actually get this season’s story moving.

I want to get one thing out of the way before I get to my critiques, and that is this: I am of the firm belief that this is the best show on TV right now, and one of the best TV shows ever produced. So when I go through the parts of this episode or this season that are disappointing to me, just know that it’s because it’s my job as a critic and doesn’t reflect on my overall thoughts on the show. It’s like looking at the Mona Lisa and saying “Her nose could have been painted better”. This show is a work of art, and even its flaws are doing so little to actually bring down the overall quality.
