HELL’S KITCHEN “13 Chefs Compete” Review

HELL’S KITCHEN “13 Chefs Compete” Season 9 Episode 5 – After last week’s brilliant episode when Elise found herself the target of every member on her team (save Elizabeth, though this was to change this week) the red team find themselves one up in the numbers against the blue now that Chino is gone.

The challenge of the episode is a cooking contest, back to the stone age, using only fire and water and seven types of meat. Their meals are to be judged by chemists and chefs for NASA, chefs able to make ice cream using sound waves and liquid nitrogen (it was awesome!) from Moto restaurant. Natalie, who was so excited to see the chefs from Moto, has her dish likened to cat food. Elise’s nastiness towards Carrie finally flops, when she and the rest of the team chooses Elizabeth’s meal over Carrie’s, despite the latter being better quality. This week looks like Kurpa’s time to lose as she struggles with getting her veal out, and once it’s out, it turns out that it’s not veal at all, which is embarassing to say the least. Read More..
