"The Closer" opens with a smirk-induced phone call. There is a dead body at a funeral home. Har, har. No, really. It turns out the family brought the body in and doesn’t want the medical examiner looking at it.
As the team discusses the case a bit a disheveled-looking process server (played by Curtis Armstrong who I can still only see as Charles from "Better Off Dead") walks into the squad room and serves the whole squad…except for Gabriel.
(A quick aside, excluding a string of divorces, this marks the 18th time Provenza has been sued.)
On top of the subpoenas, the server drops another bomb, he is also the lawyer, Peter Goldman, representing Tyrell Baylor’s mom in the suit against Brenda & Co. An unfortunate coincidence since Sanchez said Baylor deserved to die and the lawyer overheard the jab. Read More...
