‘America’s Got Talent’ Week 12, Night 2: TV Recap

On Wednesday night, Nick Cannon wasted no time on "America’s Got Talent" highlighting the stakes of the evening’s results: with the semi-finals starting next week, these would be the last four acts to move forward in the competition and join winners from previous weeks. After briefly introducing judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel, Cannon invited three acts to join him on stage: Shevonne, Yellow Design Stunt Team, and West Springfield Dance Team.

When West Springfield emerged victorious, Osbourne beamed with excitement, not the least of which because she’d rescued them from going home just a week prior. "I am delighted," she said. "West Springfield team, there is an audience for you." Evidently, there was an audience for the cast of Les Miserables as well, as the touring company of a new production of the musical took the stage and performed a rousing number that brought the house down.

Following a commercial break, Cannon called for Avery & The Calico Hearts, Charles Peachock, Those Funny Little People, and The Kinetic King. Morgan auspiciously vowed to leave the United States never to return if America vote for Those Funny Little People, an act he despised from the first time he saw them, but he was summarily vindicated when his pick, The Kinetic King, prevailed.
