Wolverine Anime: "Kikyo" Review

I'm starting to think the producers of this show are vampiric creatures who feed upon the anguish of comic fans. It's diabolical, really. These evil creatures have found a way to turn our passions against us, and they take great pleasure in it. How else can one explain this poor of an effort at adaptation? 

Right from the jump, we're in the battle between Kikyo (who showed up at the end of last week's episode) and Logan. It starts off as a fairly unremarkable fight, but it picks up a bit as it goes on. Logan and Kikyo take their skirmish to a local office building and make things slightly more interesting as they scale the structure and stick their blades into solid concrete. But the animation is often stiff in places, and lacking the smoothness that have defined the best anime series. The fight ends abruptly and without any resolution, leading us to wonder what the point was. But at least Logan didn't get his ass handed to him this time. A draw is acceptable.  Read More...
