It has been an incredibly long summer. Trust me, I feel your pain, Castle fans. I really do. And this is coming from someone who is completely used to ridiculously long hiatus (LOST fans out there can sympathize as we used to have 9-month hiatuses to torture us), but to leave us hanging like that after that explosive finale was just plain cruel.
I admit I was going slightly crazy with anticipation about "Rise" and all but jumped up and down like a 5-year-old when I got the alert that a screener was available. What can I say, I am a hardcore, extremely curious fan who was dying to know how things were going to pan out after Detective Beckett got shot and Castle told her he loved her. So now, having watched the premiere - and being a lot calmer than I was a couple of days ago - I can safely say that the premiere does live up to the hype surrounding it.
It was good, my fellow Castle fans. It was really, really good.
As per usual, you guys know I can't give too much away. As most of you already know, the press was specifically instructed to not reveal Kate's final words in the episode, so you will have to wait until September 19th to find out what she says that will most likely set the tone to the rest of the season.
Anyway, what I can tell you is that I am willing to bet you guys will be very satisfied with how things were handled in the aftermath of all the events of "Knockout".
Here is what I can tease about "Rise" (and I can't wait to discuss everything with you all after the premiere!) :
