'90210's' Trevor Donovan: I did not see 'playing gay' as a way to get girls


"90210" star Trevor Donovan has fallen victim to the age old print journalism struggle: tone is tough to convey... and can be twisted. Life & Style magazine interviewed Donovan about his "90210" character, Teddy, and ran a story with the attention-grabbing headline, "90210 star Trevor Donovan: Playing a gay character gets me girls!"It's certainly the kind of headline that gets clicks."It's been good for me," Donovan told the mag. "Girls want to challenge it. They kind of assume I'm [gay in real life] and try to change me back.
