The time has come for another power up to be bestowed upon Inu Yasha. However, he must once again face the power of Kanna's mirror demon. Naraku has given Sesshomaru a fragment of the mirror demon; Sesshomaru in turn spread it over Tenseiga to steal Tetsusaiga's power.
The resulting battle ends up more interesting than the initial fight with the mirror demon. Inu Yasha's demon half enables Tetsusaiga to steal back its power and finally answer the eternal question of what happens when two Backlash Waves meet. The outcome is never in doubt; Inu Yasha will walk away with some form of the Meido Zangetsuha. Naraku's plot is foiled again, and Sesshomaru walks away hiding his angst under his taciturn face.
The series has been on a strict diet of predictability, but this episode managed to carry a battle longer than a few minutes. While it was far from epic, it was entertaining enough with a few clever twists.
