THE BIG BANG THEORY “The Skank Reflex Analysis” and “The Infestation Hypothesis” Season 5 Episodes 1 and 2 – Welcome back, Big Bangers! And can I just say a quick thanks to CBS for kicking off the fifth season of The Big Bang Theory with not one, but two episodes, “The Skank Reflex Analysis” and “The Infestation Hypothesis”? Sniff…it isn’t even my birthday, guys!

Picking up where we left off last season (give or take a few hours), we find Sheldon still hopelessly clueless about Penny and Raj’s night of intoxicated bliss, Leonard is barely speaking to either of them and Howard has decided to take Leonard’s side (jealous, much?)

As for the girls, Amy is understanding (in so much as she acknowledges that Penny’s just naturally skanky after a few drinks), Bernadette is only pissed off at Raj because Howard now knows that he had a crush on her (as she very angrily informs him, he’s a cutie pie and any girl would be lucky to have him) and Priya…well, I guess she caught a midnight train to Delhi, ’cause she’s gone with the wind.

In an attempt to pull Leonard out his understandable funk in time for the annual university staff paintballchallenge, Sheldon calls upon Leonard’s mother, the always awesome Christine Baranski. It was a very small dose of her, however, and only within the confines of a computer screen; I still long for the day when Leonard’s mother meets Sheldon’s mama.
