The Simpsons Review: "Bart Stops to Smell the Roosevelts"

It's amazing that after 23 seasons, The Simpsons still has characters it can still explore, thanks to the ridiculously fleshed out populace of Springfield. This week? We got to spend more screen time with Superintendent Chalmers than ever before.

Chalmers is usually relegated to his signature "Skinnnnnnnerr! scream and occasionally brought in for Seymour's adventures, but he rarely gets his own. During this season's sophomore effort, we got to see the super-duper intendent take his shot as disciplining Bart. And who knew Chalmers was such a manly man?

The episode almost turned into a little history lesson, as Chalmers attempted to win Bart and his "rough riders" over with the manliest, cowboy-of-a-President, Theodore Roosevelt, but not before a hilarious montage of one-liners thrown as some of our other Presidents, including calling Bush "Will Ferrell".
