DEATH VALLEY “Who, What, When, Werewolf…Why?” Review

DEATH VALLEY "Who, What, When, Werewolf…Why?" Season 1 Episode 7 – Death Valley returned this week with "Who, What, When, Werewolf…Why?," a less gory offering than previous episodes, but not without a disgusting body count. I’m starting to think that might be the entire point of the show—providing jobs for the FX makeup artists of LA.

It’s Carla’s birthday—no inappropriate touching—but she’s not having a good night. Thanks to a sanitation workers strike, the cops have to dispose of their own zombie kills, which means they’d better make darn sure the zombies are dead before they’re loaded into the trunk of the squad car. Unfortunately, Carla’s aim is a little off and not even a real Rolex stolen off a zombie’s wrist by her partner is going to make her birthday any better.

Meanwhile, Kirsten has what she thinks is a great date with guy who’s hiding the fact that he’s an unregistered werewolf. In a kind-of sweet, fatherly moment, Stubeck, concerned for her safety in the crazy world of dating, uncovers this just in time to save Kirsten from her transformed boyfriend. Turns out he was a musician, which in my opinion is even worse than lycanthropy. Werewolves are jerks three days out of the month; musicians are narcissistic posers all month long. Read More...
