All you really need to know about Omamori Himari is that creator Matra Milan only has one published work suitable for audiences under 18, while the producer's most recent anime is Sora no Otoshimono, AKA That anime with the flying panties So, the safe assumption is that there'll be cute girls, comical/sexual misunderstandings, and a plot that is mostly an excuse to get the gaggle of girls more nekkid.
What, you want more than my gross overgeneralization? Well, okay.
The girls are almost all magical, with the main girl Himari (that's her with the sword there) being a cat spirit in human form, and many other characters being similarly magical. The main character, who's so unimportant that he doesn't even appear on any of the manga covers, is supposedly from a demon-hunting family, so the girls flock to him to protect him as the last of his line.
Happy now? I'm sure that I'll watch maybe one or two episodes of this before I get bored and move on...
